Q.  I'm 3 months pregnant, and my skin is so oily. Why?
A.  Hormones regulate the secretion of sebum oil from the sebaceous glands. Heightened hormonal activity stimulates the oil secreting glands and increased the production of sebum, resulting in oily skin. During pregnancy, hormonal activity skyrockets. This is probably why you've noticed this change in your skin. It may also be why some people may say, "you've got that expectant mommy glow."

Q.  Why should I use products labeled, "noncomedogenic?"
A.  Cosmetics and toiletries that are labeled, "non-comedogenic" have been formulated so that they will not clog pores, which can lead to acne. This gives you assurance that the product will not compound your oily skin problem and cause acne. Note: All EverWell skincare products are non-comedogenic.

Q.  Is it okay for someone with oily skin to use foundation?
A.  Heavy foundation makeup should be avoided, because it can further clog pores, which can lead to acne. Rather, we suggest using a non-comedogenic tinted moisturizer, such as EverWell's Natural Illusion Perfecting Cream. This type of product will give you even, sun-kissed coverage without clogging your pores.
